Our Great Community

Women of Worth is supported almost entirely by our great, local community. Without the support of great, committed businesses like these, we couldn’t do what we do to help families, women and children!

Bruce Ivy Construction

Bruce Ivy Construction has a mindset of helping the community and giving back, according to Bruce Ivy. He and his staff regularly assist Women of Worth with a variety of day-to-day practical needs, from subsidizing a portion of rent to moving items and taking out the trash.

“We think the world of the organization and their mission,” he said. “Other organizations rely on government funding, and are heavily staffed. We think that Women of Worth is exceptional because they stand on their own two feet.”

Thank you, Bruce Ivy Construction, for all that you do for Women of Worth, supporting our great local community!

Suburban Propane

Suburban Propane has committed to helping the community, and got involved with Women of Worth last year after one of their employees rode in Hetty’s Haven Poker Run, according to Marty Morris, Customer Service Center Manager.

“We really wanted to have a relationship with the organization we support,” Marty said. “Hopefully, we are helping women… mothers that have nowhere else to turn. We are looking to help take care of these women.”

Suburban Propane has Women of Worth decals on all of its trucks to show that it is a “proud sponsor” of Women of Worth, Marty said. Suburban Propane helps with propane tanks, and the Poker Run t-shirts; and their drivers will be riding in the September 17th Poker Run. They will also bring trucks and people to help Women of Worth  move its warehouse location later this month.

“It’s a passion for relationship whether the customers… or the community,” he added. “It’s the same passion in all of our relationships. We want to have a positive impact in our community, for our customers and for Women of Worth.  Be sure and give a “thumbs up” when you see Suburban trucks in the community.
