Success Stories

These are just a few of the numerous and eminently practical ways WOW serves its clients.

"How do I begin to thank you?" Is is because of programs such a Women Of Worth (WOW) that my daughter and I can continue to live in a non-violent environment. When you see those words on paper, (non-violent) it seems like such a simple thing. As in, "well, doesn't everybody live violent free?"

I am living proof that domestic violence exists and can be overcome with support of family, friends, strangers and others who have your best interest at heart. As I look back on my journey to my God given right to have my child and myself live in a healthy, non-violent home, I am overcome with gratitute for Women Of Worth. You were always there when I needed you with no questions aksed. It is my purest hope and prayer that anyone who is in a domestic violent situation will tell someone they need help.

Someday I would absolutely love to help other women who are starting their own long journey to healing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your help.

I was in a real mess. My boyfriend vandalized my car because I told him I was going to leave him if he didn't stop beating me. [I was referred to WOW] and in a matter of a couple of days, my car was repaired at no cost to me, and I was on my way out of town, to be with family that would shelter me while I got back on my feet."

"My husband was a master manipulator. Every time I would tell him I was leaving him because of his abuse of the kids and me, he would overdose on his medication, or do something else that he hoped would make me stay with him. Well, one day after his latest overdose, I had had enough. I called WOW, and they moved the kids and me far away from this very sick man. I was loved and encouraged the whole way. I still hope my husband and I can work things out, but now I can hope from a safe distance, and my kids and I are safe."

"I was terrified to go to court and face my abusive husband. Sandy came with me and literally held my hand the entire time.

"You brighten our days, and forever touched our hearts and lives. There are not enough thank you's that I can give you. My daughter is so little. For her, this means she can remain in her innocence and have beautiful memories. You've shown me a side of people I feared lost."
"Lilly"

"The past few years have had many challenges and struggles, but the kindness your organization shared with my family erased some of the hurtful memories."
